ICCE  2022 TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FOR EMERGING RESEARCHERS AND STUDENTS BASED IN AN AFRICAN COUNTRY

The Committee for the 26th IUPAC International Conference on Chemistry Education, ICCE 2022, has limited funds to support travel scholarships for emerging researchers and students based in an African country to attend the ICCE 2022 Conference to be held from 18-22 July in Cape Town, South Africa. Scholarships are competitive and must be applied toward the cost of attending the ICCE 2022 Conference.

The successful candidate/s will be awarded:

  1. Economy class airfare
  2. Accommodation, on a sharing basis with Covid-19 protocols in place
  3. Return airport transfer

Criteria for application:

Applicants must be an emerging researcher or a student in chemistry education and based in an African country.  Where applicable, applicants’ passports should be valid for at least 3 months after their trip to SA with a minimum of 2 blank (unused) pages, (one for visa and one for entry stamp).

Documents to be submitted by applicants:

  1. Abstract
  2. A motivation of how they and the greater community in chemistry education of their home country would benefit from attendance at the conference
  3. An up-to-date CV (max 2 pages)
  4. A letter of recommendation by their supervisor, Head of Department or line manager
